HELP-PLEASE -

AppCrash on multi programs. I need Help! Have looked everywhere. Last night I had an update, (security). When I restated computer it started up in safe mode. Have not been able to get out of it yet. Most of my programs are not working due to this. I am using Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I really need help. This is just one of several messages I got:

When I try to reboot with F-8 I cannot, I am being show that I have a hard drive error. Went to my computers, I now have a hard drive named Public (\\OWNER-PC) (Z
was never there before. It has a big red X on it. When I try to open I recieve an error message - "An error occured while reconneting to Z:. Microsoft Windows Network: The network path was not found." This is the same error I get with most programs (Network Path Not Found)
