My PC stopped during reading an adobedocument and cannot be started up again. A few hours before some registry changes were done, proposed by the upgrade of the AVG-tool. The use of my recoverydisk brings no solution and when I'm trying to read my local drive (c-drive) in the prompt mode the message is shown not possible. For example "bootrec /fixboot" get as message "device not ready". My harddisk appears with name when I stop the start-up with CTRL-ALT-DEL. When trying startingup the PC with the rcovery-disk I get following error messages:
Problem Event Name: StartupRepairV2
Problem Signature 01: ExternalMedia
Problem Signature 02: 6.0.6000.16386.0.0.0.0
Problem Signature 03: 0
Problem Signature 04: 65537
Problem Signature 05: unknown
Problem Signature 06: NoHardDrive

Problem Signature 09: unknown
Problem Signature 10: 1168
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.00.256.1
Locale ID: 1033
When I start up the PC in the safe mode, it stops by:
\windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys
Proposals for solutions are very welcome.

In my case this error [Problem Signature 06: NoHardDrive] using the recovery disc was because the driver of the hard drive (SATA AHCI) wasn't available in the recovery disk. During the startup of the recovery disk the system query for a disc driver, search/download the correct driver for your hard disk (form the web of the computer's manufacturer), put it in a pendrive or sd card or similar, and use it with the recovery disc. I hope this help.
