Hi,

I have a problem with my notebook. The notebook freezes when I use "Autocad" or watch movies. I cannot use my mouse anymore and "alt-tab". The only thing i can do is reset the laptop. At a point i got a blue screen when I start my laptop up. I couldnt use my laptop because of the blue screen. So I dicided to send my laptop to Acer back for reperation. They put a new harddisk in my laptop and installed windows Vista.

I though the problem was solved, but when I use "Autocad" it freezes agian. (Mayby because of the updates.)

If search my eventviewer and came across this. (logbestanden):

Hi,

Can you please browse to the:

"C:\Windows\Minidump"

folder, zip up the contents and upload. If you do not know how to make a zip archive, use the free 7-Zip: 7-Zip

Hey,

I have zipped the contens of the minedump folder. I hope it will help you, to see what the problem is.

Regards Fer

PS I see now that I am on the vista 64 bit version, but i don't think the problem changes. But if it helps I have a 32bit version.

Hi,

Sorry for my late reply. I have been very busy. Anyway:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
STOP: 0x00000050

This is the same for all 3 minidumps attached. There are 4 referenced drivers:

dxgkrnl.sys
hal.dll
ntkrnlpa.exe
nvlddmkm.sys

This BSOD is often caused by drivers, overheating etc. The most important thing to do is to update all of your drivers. Here is a list of thing to try:

  • Update all of the drivers you can.

  • Run Memtest86+ or another memory testing tool that came with your computer.

  • Make sure all windows updates and service packs are installed.

  • See if these BSODs occur in Safe Mode and report back.

  • See if there are any errors showing in Device Manager.
You also have some old drivers that need updating. There is one driver (int15.sys) that dates back to 2003. I have never seen such an outdated driver on Vista before. EDIT: Just found someone with a 2002 driver. These drivers need updating:

2003:
int15.sys

2006:
secdrv.SYS
DKbFltr.sys
peauth.sys

2007:
spldr.sys
epfwtdir.sys
eamon.sys
easdrv.sys

No time stamp:
TSDDD.sys

You need to investigate and update these drivers, and as many others as you can. Also, update your graphics card drivers, as there is one lead pointing here.

This problem may be caused by overheating, so can you please download GPU-Z and SpeedFan and write down/screenshot the temperatures of your cores/graphics card/hard disk.
GPU-Z
SpeedFan

Thanks,

Richard

I have updated my windows and runned the "sfc /scannow" from the Command Prompt.
But when i runned the command nothing special happend. It completed 100% and then the prompt was gone. I don't know how you can see the results back. Iam lately very busy, ill try to put the results anytime soon.

How do i update these drivers? Do i need to google these drivers?

Hi,

Do not worry about being busy. I have got plenty to do, so it is on your timetable. (and I am often very busy so I know what it is like)

Now that sfc has finished, open a new command prompt and type (or copy and paste):

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

This will create a text file on your desktop called sfcdetails.txt. Can you please upload this file?
Your sensors are reporting 42C. This is a low temperature, (low is good) and so we can effectively rule out overheating of the GPU for now.

To update a driver, you google it and find out what hardware it belongs to (such as chipset) and then you download new drivers for your chipset (maybe from your computer manufacturers website) If you have any problems, give me your computer specs and I will send you links.

Hey, i am back and i am sorry that i didnt say anything.

I still have the problem that my laptop crashes whenever I use autocad or some other programs. And its not spyware, cause i dont have spyware. And the problem is that i need my laptop for my test school

I am very busy, lately, but i hope you still can help me. I have attached the log file that you said a while ago.

The thing is, i want to sent my laptop back to factory for insurence. I did it already but they only build a new harddisk, because the other one was broken. I think it broke when the pc crashes and i needed to reboot, so i held the escape button in until it restarted. I made it clear to them that the laptop crashes when i use autocad, when i get my laptop back it still crashes when i use autocad or other programs.

The drivers are fresh and new, because there is a new harddisk in the laptop and there for needed to reinstal vista. But if it is my laptop is an Acer Aspire 7738. Intel core 2duo 2.0ghz 800fsb.T6400. Nvidia GT 130M 4GB DD3 memory.

Uploading file failed. So i give you a link.
http://rapidshare.com/files/394770823/CBS.zip.html

ps I rescanned, and today the pc crashed twice. So mayby you can find that in the log file.
