Cursor Locked in screen center

hello, my cursor is locked in the center. I have a logitec usb mouse and I have switched to an older mouse with the round plug. I've rebooted with both and get same results. Keyboard does work.
What can I try, thanks?

Have you tried re-installing the driver for the mouse?

I cannot find the logitec CD. I am getting the same behavior with another mouse too.

You should be able to update your mouse and keyboard drivers through the Device Manager.

Locate the drivers in the Device Manager, Right click them, then click "Search automatically for updated driver software."

All mice and keyboards should work with the basic drivers built-in to Vista. The only drawback is that you won't be able to access some of the specific features of these devices.

It is possible that the driver has become corrupted. Follow this Tutorial http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/165382-device-manager-roll-back-driver.html and roll back the mouse driver until you are no longer able to roll back. You should then be using the driver that was supplied by MS in Vista. Note that for best results, you should reboot after rolling back the driver.
