Solved Guest permissions

Hello, in the Guest account, every time a file is opened, a window pops up asking for the administrator account. I do know the administrator account, but it keeps on coming up many times. Does anyone know how to stop this setting.

Thanks

Hi, go into the administrator account and go to 'Properties' of whatever file or folder you want to allow the guest rights to.
Go to the security tab.
Click 'Edit'
Click 'Add'
In the box entitled 'Enter the object names to select' type 'Guest'.
Click 'OK'.
Select 'Guest (YOUR PC'S NAME\Guest)' from the list at the top of the window.
Make sure the appropriate tick boxes are checked on the bottom part of the window.
Click 'OK'
Click 'OK'
You're done.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Osholt! Your solution worked.

I'm glad it worked for you. I just wanted to explain to you how to mark threads as solved and the uses of other buttons.

To the top right of this post you will see 3 icons. An orange (+), a set of scales and a red and white warning triangle.

The orange (+) or blue (-) denotes whether a user is on or offline (orange = on, blue = off)

The scales are used to give rep points; click this button if someone has helped you significantly or solved your queries (only give this to posts you think really deserve it).

The red and white warning triangle are used to denote either an abusive post OR to mark a thread ad solved (just put solved in the box that comes up and the admins or moderators will mark it solved).

I'll mark it solved for you this time.
