My Computer had a seizure!?

I was playing a game called GMOD and all of a sudden my PC just crashes into a loop of constant beeping?! My computer restarted and it wouldent load back up and remained in a loop of beeping? I restarted and it was fine afterwards

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?

*This isn't the only problem I ever had with this peice of junk:huh:

It could have been almost anything, a bug in the code, a corrupted file or driver, a key being held down for too long, a registry error, a hardware failure; it's hard to tell. Its happened to me before under different circumstances and has never happened again since.

To minimize the risk of this happening again:

Check for registry errors if you haven't already done so recently (last 6 months) using a program such as CCleaner.

Make sure Windows is up to date.

Make sure your game is up to date.

Make sure your drivers are up to date.

Hopefully it won't happen again.

Hello Welcome to VF,

That should be really frustrating !! The best way to see what is going on is to check the Event Veiwer.

Goto Start > Event Veiwer > Windows Logs > Application

and check for error and look what does the descrption says !!

Well the weird this is, I havent got any error messages when I started up again, most of the time, windows reports an error (Bluescreen, unexpected shutdown, etc.) and theres NOTHING unusual in the event veiwer. I clean my regerstry every month or so

Yes that looks weird !! O.K. How long it been since you serviced your PC like cleaning dust etc.

Run the Memory Diagnostic & HD Diagnostic

Also i would recommend to run System Integrity Checker
Start > Run > CMD >Right Click and Run as administrator > SFC/ SCANNOW

It's worth doing so to avoid this in the future.

also check your motherboard manuel for the bios beep codes, a long constant beep or beeping from the case is often a indication of cpu overheat.

beeping. something with hardware, not software. check gpu temps, cpu temps, and check your psu, make sure u got enough watts raining down on your mobo.

I checked for beep codes, no info on long continuous beeps

Im constantly checking my tempatures and everythings fine, just still have the problem with the internet roughter overheating

SFC found nothing

hmm, are you on a back up power supply (the cube with plugs that has bettery to power ur computer in case of a surge/powerouttage)? You could be drawing too much power from it (it happens to me sometimes, all of a sudden my back up power unit beeps like hell and my computer and everything connected to the power supply shutts down and w=comes back up). You couldve simply had a power surge.

Well no but My breaker does tend to blow every now and then, and the power didnt shut off compleatly, otherwise i wouldent hear my game sounds looping when it shut off
