"scan and fix" error and Reformatting my SD card

Got a hard question that I need anybody to help me with. My Gateway computer which is the LX series, less than two years old has been giving me problems as it is Vista 64 bit. The problem is that the USB and the SD card slot both come up with the "scan and fix" error. It got so bad that I could not even delete files from the SD card and it would not accept new files either.

The fool I was I decided to try reformatting it to clear the data which now has the computer to reformat it every time I plug it in to the slot. Can anybody help me on either of the two areas because I have no clue on what to do.

Also, while scanning my computer for solutions I found "Event Viewer" that tells me all these errors and warnings on my computer. Does anybody want to clue me in on the possibility of what these are and solutions? There is also the problem that when I try system startup which you need to push alt F10, that doesn't work for me, and every once and a while programs don't respond. Please help me on this because besides that it is a great computer.

Naw, I got those programs and use them regularly. And I am trying the website provided but could you suggest anything else if this does not work. Open to uninstalling and reinstalling the drive but need to not do it with a disk because they didn't give me one.
