I suggest you do the following:
1. Run System File Checker, see
How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7.
2. Click Start > Run, type MSConfig, and click OK. In MSConfig, click oin the Services tab, and make sure that all of the services are enabled (i.e. have check marks); if not, click on Enable All.
3. If you still have the problem, download and run MalwareBytes, see
Malwarebytes. Make sure that you boot your computer into Safe mode to run it, to avoid conflicts with other programs.
