hi all!

I'm a newbie here. and I did search in this forum and googled.
but I caln't find a right solution.

oneday, drive labels disappeared in "My computer" icons still there.
(you know, there is not "My" but let me call it like that for easier talk.)
but shows well in view - detail or list something like that.

So, I tested some tips.
I also set a ShowDriveLettersFirst key in the regedit.

still, I can't see drive labels.
but they are shown in a dialog box of "save as..."

does anybody know the solution or reason of this?
please help me.

can't see drive labels these 3 pics.

but they show in this mode.

and in this one(save as...)
The drive letters come first because of the tip that I tested.
c: drive has no label.( 로컬 디스크 means "local disk" in korean. )
d: drive's label is "DATA".

PS : You might already have an inkling. I'm Korean. please forgive my bad english.
and characters in those pictures are korean letters "Hangul".
I'm really really sorry because I can't prepare english version.

Naw, you're good.

Wow! So, the one where the drive letters do show up, that's the "Tiles" view, right?

How about this. Open up "My Computer." You see all the drives. Open the menus, and open up the "Tools" menu. Go to "Folder Options." You see three tabs. Open "View." In the list of "Advanced Settings" scroll down. See the check-box for "Show Drive Letters?"

Is that box checked? If not, check it. Gently click "Apply." Smash recklessly on "OK" and close "Folder Options." Hit the <F5> to refresh your screen. Did the drive letters show up?

Thank you VERY MUCH for your reply.

I checked that option already.
I think this is not "show drive letters" problem but something else.
because drive letters and labels show up in tiles, detail and list view mod.
they also show up on every view mode normally in "save as..." dialog box.

thanks again.

So, it's only the Icon views where the drive letters don't show up. Hmmm...
