hello, my name is steve, lemme get right to business. my screen on my laptop broke about 2 months ago. It was a small crack, at the bottom left corner of my screen, thankfully my entire screen is not useless, but because of the crack, a roughly 2.5 inch strip at the bottom is. the aspect ratio of my screen is 16:9 and the resolution is a full 1080p. my question is: is there a way that i can adjust my screen's aspect ratio so that it is something like 16:7 or something like that? i would like the computer to think that the screen ends just above the place that the crack begins.
the reason for this is that anytime an object on-screen becomes fullscreen i can't see all of it. and sometimes tiems/icons/etc get lost in the section of the bottom of the screen that is broken.
also, i'm not very tech savy so a step by step guide would be extremely helpful.
