Locked out of Vista

I recently purchased a Gateway computer with Windows Vista 64 bit installed on it. I set it up and when I logged into my account it downloaded some updates. It restarted my computer and when I tried to log into my account, all it would say is 'the username or password is incorrect'. I checked if caps lock is on, it's not. I tried to go into safe mode into an administrator account, but vista doesn't have them enabled by default. Is there any way I can get back into Vista? Thanks.

Also, I do not have the install disk because I purchased my computer through a third party website and I just bought the tower.

Hello Naimo,

If you still have the factory recovery partition, then you could do a factory restore using the instructions from Gateway to reinstall Vista with.
