vista reboot loop

On a Dell E6500 after windows updates are installed the computer goes into a reboot loop. The user trying to log on has administrative rights. If we switch users to another user that has administrative rights and disable the UAC the first user can then log on normally. This seems to occur only after windows updates are installed. Any ideas. I am not a trained tech, so please respond in simple terms. Thank you.

I have access to the system now because I logged in as another user and once again disabled the UAC. I just would like to know how to keep the UAC from being re-enabled.
