kernel memory dump

I was checking-out the "time to display list of operating systems" to help speed-up boot time when I looked down at system failure and noticed that I had nothing being wrote for debugging information. Now I think in the past, I read, and disabled it because before I bought more memory, It was a way to help with my performance. I did a few things back then and can't remember them all.

So... Is this really needed? I've searched around in the forum but couldn't seem to find a direct answer to this.

If you don't use and/or don't ever plan on letting someone who will use the debugging information near your PC then there's little harm in having it turned off.
