I aquired a dvd drive HL-dt-st-DVDRRW-GWA-4164b-ATA Device, from a dead computer and installed in my computer, my compter running Vista Home Premium installed the drivers and said installation OK, but the drive will only read cd`s and not DVD`s, looking around the web it says its an XP drive but i`ve tryed to download new firmwares but says "Your computer is not configured for this device" and an update is not required etc. Is there any way i can get round this problem without having to get another drive?
