KVM switch not recognizing keyboard - is there a fix?

I have a Trendnet KVM switch connected to my computers. Whenever I switch from my business computer to my personal computer I get the msg to hit F1 because the keyboard is not being recognized. I also never get this message when I switch from my personal computer (Vista) to my business computer (XP).

Is this because this switch is not compatible with Vista? If so is there a list (I couldn't find one before purchasing this one) that shows the switches that are compatible with both XP and Vista? If compatibility is not the issue is there a fix for this?

Any help given would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hello ozhawk,
Has this ever worked or has it done this from day 1 ?.
When you switch PC's, do you leave the other one switched on ?,

It has never worked properly. But in the past if I logged off of my personal computer first I could switch back over from my business computer to my log in screen and I wouldn't go through the keyboard not being recognized issues.

I have always left both computers powered on.

Thanks

I don't think compatibility is an issue, after all its just a USB connection.

Go to Device Manager and look to see if there are any yellow triangles.

Did this come with drivers or is it Plug and Play ?.
