Solved windows are not installing in laptop

Hello,
i have changed the partition in my laptop before 10 days. i installed Windows Vista (Home Basic). i installed only windows, some drivers have not installed those time which are come in CD.after some days windows vista has corrupted.
now DVD writter are not working properly. then i use bootable pendrive to installed the windows xp but its give me error. <windows root>\system32\hal.dll file is corrupt or missing.
i also tried to installed windows vista using bootable pendrive. its copy all files in laptop during installation but when its restart during installation. windows desktop are not appear.
in my laptop have thse drives:
Disk Total Size Free space Type
Disk 0 Partition 1 29 GB 28.1 GB Logical
Disk 0 Partition 2 29 GB 28.1 GB Logical
Disk 0 Partition 3 41.3 GB 3.1 GB Primary
Unallocated space 12 GB 11.9 GB Primary

i am tried to installed windows in Partition 1 and Partition 2 but not sucessfull. in Partition 3 have some my important data.
i am feeling frustration. how i install the windows so that i can get my data which stored in Partition 3.
please help me

If your only aim is to recover the data I would recommend a Linux live CD.

Main Page - Linux Mint (if you know how to burn ISO to disks) or Download | Ubuntu and follow option 2 (if you don't). Once you have booted into the CD you want to try it out and NOT install it.

Having a corrupt/missong HAL.DLL file is a real pain to fix and the easiest way to fix it is to do a new clean install (although this is not practical in many cases).

Once you recover your data using the LLCD you can then try reinstalling Windows without any worry of losing data.
