a friend gave me his laptop because the bios and hard drive had a password and he couldnt remove it without paying dell to reset the bios password. i called in his place and paid the fees and was given the passwords. im now in the bios but cant remove them for some reason. i set to load defaults but there is no way to save the defaults, when u hit esc it just says exit. i dont know what to do, dell considers that a separate problem and doesnt want to help wthout more money. its in dell inspiron 1420
