Hi.. are you using the same hard drive that got the OS loaded or a new Hard drive.. Is that a new computer you are building up? or just upgrading the hardware of your old computer and using the hard drive with all the data?

    cheers

Well what im doing is buying a new motherboard, CPU, Memory, case, and adding a hard drive in addition to the old one. Also Im taking a few things from the old emachines PC to put in the new case. What i was wondering is what to do once i get all the stuff in the case, like the setup and all the good stuff, if that makes sense.

    OK..
You know how to build the box..
After fitting and connecting all the wires, with your old hard drive connected, start the computer.. it might start funny as there will be no drivers for the new hardwares..
So once the pc started, put the cd what came with the motherboard to install the drivers. once this is done.. switch off the computer and connect the secondly hard drive you want to add and make it slave by moving the pin...
    Any trouble let me know..
    cheers
