I need some help, please. I just recently upgraded to a 64b Windows 7 laptop. My problem is this:
I have 32b Vista laptop but have long since lost my b/up discs AND my CD/DVD drive doesn't work. How can I use the D:\ drive to "pretty much" set the PC back to factory standards??? Any advise, help, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated...

Thank You,

hi.. Do you have an external hard drive or big enough pen drive.. what you need to do is either download the RECOVERY disk and load it to a pen drive.. then when you start the laptop select to boot from usb pen drive or drive.. it will do the trick..

Another thing.. did you formatted or ease the recovery partition on that laptop.. as you can run the factory reset from the laptop itself..

cheers

Ash,

I do not have an external HDD, external CD/DVD drive nor a flash drive. I don't know what a pen drive is. The PC came with a D:\ partition for recovery purposes... What can I do to use the D:\ drive???
