Hard lesson learnt

ok i didnt no how to fix stuff on my pc i have had someone use teamviewer they have put some sort of patch on my pc to open all socket or ports they said what do i do please

i no lesson learnt but nothing i can do now, this person now does not respond to me on yim , and has left me im afraid he is now atacking my pc

i think that i unistalled patch , he left all the stuff there on the desktop, i seen there was a remove patch icon i double clicked and it removed it said does this look rite ??

i dont have installation cds, where do u get them from and how do i no if i have been hacked

Do you have a friend that has the exact same version of Vista that you do, that would let you borrow their install disk, then you could use the activation key on the sticker attached to the PC to activate it after it's been re-installed?

no i dont sorry , but this what was in the file that he sent me he opend one of the items in here and then it took him to the black window that was in the first photo , by memory i think , he had put a number in there ??

im just wondering if i can check on ports somehow ?? can anyone look into this for me ?? please

If you really want some "Piece of Mind" that your computer won't be compromise, do a Clean Install.

I know its a lot of work to reinstall, but security should be your #1 priority.

Did you purchased your computer from a manufacturer like Dell, ACER?? I would check with them on how to get a hold of some recovery disks. Some companies have a program built into your system that allows you to make a recovery disk.

If you are going to reinstall, you may want to look into Windows 7.

Check your computer folder to see if you have a recovery partion.
If you do hit f11 while the computer is booting up.
Some times you will see a screen with options on it.
You must be fast because it only shows for a second.
Or you can richc46s advice and buy Win 7.

If you want to install windows 7, you must buy the DVD, about $125. Then you would follow the instructions in this tutorial. It really is very easy

But even beofore that you want to be sure that your computer can work with 7 and you would go to this site and download the upgrade advisor

The price, today, of the Windows 7 upgrade DVD is $120.00 USA.

If you do decide to get it be sure to ask for the upgrade version. It is just as good as the full version but a lot less expensive.

Every computer manufacturer is different, but there is a recovery if that is the way you want to go. If you decide that method you will have your vista back like the day you bought the computer home. It would be free.

If you have an HP or Compaq have a look at these instructions, if not who built the PC?



HP Recovery Center

Be advised that this will take the machine back to the point when you first took it of the box.
The "HP Recovery Center" will give you the option to send to backup anything you
don't want to lose, so have backup media available to use if you choose this option.

With the machine off press the power button, as soon as you do that start tapping the F11 key.
It may take several attempts to do this, if the first attempt fails, try again.
That should take you to the HP Recovery Center. When there just follow the prompts.
It is pretty much self explanatory. From the time you boot into F11 (not counting
any backups you choose to make) you should be back on a working desktop in about
30 minutes. After it restarts just follow the prompts again to finish the process.

If your first option is system restore select no, which should take you to system recovery.
You want to try system recovery not system restore, unless you have good restore points!
