I am on Vista Home Premium 64
4Gb ram
2ghz Dual core
Nvidia 9300m gs graphics - 197.16 drivers

I am having issues running the default vista photo screen saver.

What ever setting its on, it seems to max my cpu.

If I choose a setting besides classic, it gets very choppy during photo transitions.

I have figured out that its the 32 bit version of the screen saver running by default, even tho I use 64 bit os. Why is this?

I found the 64 bit version is the syswow64 folder, It runs with out maxing my cpu, infact very little cpu usage at all. But wont run any other setting besides Classic, even tho it gives the other options when i right click the .scr and choose configure.

I would very much like to run the screen saver in a mode other than classic.

I would like it to not be choppy during photo transitions

I would like to use the 32bit version, since thats the one my screensaver properties controls (setting wait time), and also can do other settings besides classic.

What is going on here ??????????

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

EDIT, no there no video files of any kind in the selected folder, only jpegs
