Hi people,
OK, I get the dreaded black screen every time I try to boot up in normal mode. A quick summary of what happened before I re-booted & saw the black screen...
I had a few Firefox windows open, then suddenly, the Firefox windows basically froze up. I could move my cursor, but it wouldn't acknowledge any links, meaning I couldn't click on anything. The windows themselves wouldn't move either, just frozen in place
I then re-booted. At first my "Start" & the normal icons on the taskbar (or whatever you call it) were usable, but the desktop wouldn't appear, just a black screen. I re-booted again & that time I couldn't use my "Start" or any icons, as the cursor simply makes a circle motion, not allowing me to click on anything there. It's been doing that now every time I try to boot up, black screen, cursor circling
I can get to my desktop in Safe Mode. Everything seems to work in that mode. I've read numerous accounts of people having the same problems on other forums, but the causes & fixes seem to be in the thousands
Does anyone here know about this & have any advice/fixes?
