I am unable to use the Vista Home Premium restore function to recover from a failed hard drive. The message I get when I try to restore says I do not have an account with the same name as the account on my old hard drive. The message shows an account name but it includes the character "\"; this character prevents me from creating a new account. How do I create an account name that the restore function will accept?
