Vista startup problem

Oki, hello.

I use a Packard Bell ipower x9810 (Packard Bell iPower X9810 Details and Product Specifications - Epinions.com for specs), last night it was working fine, though seeming to suffer a bit after a java upgrade (I belive java 6 update 11, whichever the new one of today is). This morning (and every time since) attempting to start it up goes as normal, putting the packard bell screen up with the F button options, then after that it automatically starts Nvidia boot agent 249.0542.

After about 5 minutes it goes PXE-E53: No boot filename recived and exits the boot agent. It then gives the options of rebooting and selecting a proper boot device or inserting boot media into selected boot device and pressing any key, the red loading light on the side dosn't go off this whole time. I have pretty much zero knowledge regarding the tech knowhow so I'm completly stumped. Any advice short of taking it in for repair would be greatly appreciated.
