empty boxes for advancing pictures, etc

Good Morning,
I have had a prolonged problem regarding the lack of arrows to advance some ( most ) webpages, or select new images and text .I usually get a blank visual /audio/picture and no selection keys. On a u-tube video I cannot advance ( due to lack of visibility) on single images , and the same with Popover web sites.....only the loading page shows.
Sometimes there is a blank box to ( no text or arrow ) select and I have to guess what "may" have been there in a normal Vista page.

Ill be honest, I do not fully understand your question. If this does not help a screen shot would do the trick.

On desktop right click
personalize
display
then in the left panel

you can adjust the dpi (set custom size)
or
the resolution
Give those a try and see if it helps.
These instuctions will make more or less appear on the screen in the event that the buttons that you refer to are there, but on the right or left of the screen
If this answer is not even close to what you need. Give us a screen shot.

I did not sign off last time, so it showed was online for a long time....I can usually be online once or twice a day.
Thank you so much for trying to understand what I meant by empty boxes. I spent 2 hours here on the various forums to see if anyone else even had a similiar problem/
I labored a long time of how to describe my problem . I will look on this forum of how to do a screen shot. I am wondering if a cut and paste would also bring that screen to a posting here on this thread. Just curious....
Also, do you mean the top 3 selections of "Edit, Quote, Multi" will give you a rating of a higher reputation ?

I do not understand what you mean buy "edit quote multi" but a screen shot is very easy.
Go to search and type snipping tool. After you get the snipping tool, you basically turn it on and than mark the part of the screen that you want a shot of. Then you save that to your desktop or documents and then download to us.
