Parental controls and Media Player

Need some help please....
I have Vista and have set up parental controls to allow only specific sites under my child's user account. I have also selected "allow all programs" under parental control so that he can use the programs on the computer. However, when on an approved website and he clicks on a link that attempts to pull up Windows Media Player, it appears to open up but will not play anything. I get a message saying I need to turn off parental controls for it to work. Why is that so if I have allowed all programs, and is there a way to correct this?
Thank you in advance

Thank you Richard.
I will try that this evening.
Just so I understand...If I already have Windows Media Player on my computer, will simply changing the parental controls on the player itself (as opposed to Vista's parental controls) cause it to work?
Thanks

I was able to try this this morning and no success. It simply changed the DVD settings so that certain DVDs will not play if they contain content that is unsuitable for certain age groups. The default setting is "none" for no restrictions. I left it there. Any other ideas? Thank you.

Even with all my posts, I have never encountered this problem, before. I have one suggestion, that will probably go over like a lead balloon.
Rather than put all, list the ones that are allowed. If there are a lot, I know that this is not practical.

Im working on i,t though, any better ideas will be posted.

We actually tried that too last evening. Didn't work for us unfortunately. I am wondering if maybe the problem isn't with the program itself (media player) but with the location media player is trying to pull the video from. I am thinking this as the player does pull up, it just doesn't play anything. What do you think?

Does it, actually, work if you remove controls?

If it were mine, I would set up another account, for test, set up PC controls and see how that goes.
