Hi, running thru an issue with an MS escalation engineer, I was asked to add regsvr32.exe to my DEP exception list. (A fairly normal if questionable 'fix' for 'Registry Server has stopped working' e.g. when installing certain apps). Ok... ah, but..
Clicking Ok, Apply, the window closed. No error msg. Just the usual warning about the risks of disabling DEP...
When I checked the exception list, regsvr32.exe had not been added.
But I can add other application exe's, including one or two from C:\Windows\system32\ (most are protected from being added).
What could I look for?
And just out of curiosity, where is the list of exceptions held? Not in plain text in the registry...
Thanks! dal987
