Copying CD to CD

I am trying to copy a cd with files on it to another CD but once it's been copied it only copies the shortcut of the files. I know that I can't use this CD as it won't run shortcut files on the PC. Can anyone help me with this? :(
 

My Computer

System One

I would Copy the Files to the Desktop or a Temporary Location

Then Burn them To the Disk

To copy and Move the Item

Drag and press and Hold CTRL

Then Drop the File and it should be Copied to the Disk

I'd create an image of the disk, method depends on your software, then burn the new disk from the image.

What software are you using for better instructions.
