Suddenly I do not stay logged in to a website that I visit on a daily basis, even if I put a check mark in to stay logged in. If I want to access that frequently used site 10 times a day, I have to log in 10 times. This was not the case yesterday. What causes that? What happened? :huh:

If everything was working just fine yesterday, then try a System Restore to the day before yesterday to see it that resolves the problem. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed and uninstall any software you removed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates.
I'm going to assume you're using IE7 or IE8. If not, ignore the rest of this post and please reply with the name and version of browser you are using. If you're using an e-mail program (as opposed to using a browser for your e-mail), do you have the same problems staying logged into the e-mail account or does that work fine?

Hopefully, one of these articles and/or procedures (some documented in the articles) will resolve your problems with IE If that doesn't work then I would suggest you uninstall IE, download a fresh copy from Microsoft (nowhere else). and re-install it to see if that resolves the problem.
