    Need admin pw recovery

    Help!!! I am the adminstrator ... I forgot my pw. My son is the only other user (standard user) and I had parental control blocks on his account so that he couldn't download some things. So NOW the only thing I can do is log on his account but I cannot down load any online software to recover pw. I cannot even do a sys restore... Can any one help me recover my password???

    You can use METHOD THREE in the tutorial below to reset your password at boot.

    Reset User Account Password

    Shawn- thank you but it didn't work - when I go to the site via link supplied - I'm blocked due to the parental controls I have set on my sons acct. - Of course I can't change the parental control setting because I don't remember my pass word...

    You will most likely need to create the reset disk on another computer that has an available administrator account that you can use. Afterwards, you can use the reset disk on your computer.
