Solved Folder icon changed

Hey guys
i was recently transfering pictures from my sd card into my pictures folder and when i had finished i noticed the icon had changed from that nice green one that matches all the rest, to a plain old yellow one.

does anyone know how to get the old icon back?

Ive tried right clicking and messing around in the customize tab, but it doesnt seem to have the same options as other folders.

Not sure what happened, but the Pictures folder has converted from a shell folder to a normal folder (which is more than just the loss of a pretty icon, but can affect how your programs work and how they access pictures). Here's the procedure to repair that problem: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/90705-personal-user-shell-folders.html.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

It was my pleasure - glad I could help.

Some procedures are a bit complex, but congratulations on finding your way through it to success.

Thanks for the feedback (and for the rep), it is appreciated.

Good luck and best wishes!
