Hi, To everyone, I should explain that this a friends PC and not mine, I'm trying to find the answer for them. The problem is that if they delete something or move something into a folder the task happens but the windows action/dialog box remains on-screen, as far as I know until the PC is restarted. Any clues as to where to start looking would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance. Roger
