Re: Software Registry Over write Problem

What is the exact error message - word-for-word? Does it occur after you've changed a value and try to save it or at some earlier point? What exactly are you trying to change (please provide the full path to the entry you're trying to change)? Do you know when this started - I mean, when was the last time you successfully changed the registry? Go somewhere else in the registry (it doesn't matter) and find another registry key and attempt to change it (just add one digit or something small like that) and see if it works. If it gives you the error, then post back. If it works, change it back to the way it was and save that change and post back. I'm trying to determine if the issue is with a particular entry in the registry or with the registry in general. Please tell me the results of the test and provide answers to the questions asked at the beginning.

I also suggest you backup your registry (even given its current condition) using: Back up the registry.

    Thanks and good luck!
