my system doesnt recognize the 6 gb i installed
the pc is running windows home premium 32bits

That is perfectly normal for a 32-bit system. A 32-bit Windows OS can only access a total of 4GB of memory address space. Into that space, all I/O devices are mapped. Depending on the hardware, this will take between 0.25GB - 0.75GB, leaving a usable memory value of something between 3.25GB and 3.75GB. In order to be able to use the full amount of memory installed, you will need the 64-bit OS.
