Hi me again. i did something similar to this but thats not why im here. CAN A SOCKET 775 PROCESSOR work on a SOCKET 478 MOBO.

I cant find no answers to this question on google.

i need a dual core processor like this Celeron E3200 Dual-Core 2.4GHz. BUT its 775. WILL IT WORK ON MY 478 cheers. OR is there any 478 dual cores out there?

Simple answer... NO. Even if the number of contacts on the processors were the same (they aren't), it wouldn't work because the pins are on the processor for the skt 478 m/b whereas for the 775 processor the pins are in the socket.
