Sorry to make my first post a plea for help, but I'm hoping someone out there can throw some light on what's happening.
I'm running Vista 32 bit on an Acer Dual Core Desktop (purchased December 2008).
As of about two weeks ago, the following happens whenever I try to delete or move a file.
1. The dialogue box appears, but the task bar within it does not green out. Within the box it says 0bytes recognised. I cannot close the dialogue box.
2. I use Task Manager to close the box.
3. I find the file has been moved/deleted.
Unfortunately this is quite a serious issue, since the machine is used to manage our ebook database and the software we use (Calibre) won't function with this error.
I have performed a disc defragment and full disc check and repair but to no avail.
Any help/suggestions very gratefully received.
