Solved Hard Drive (D:) Clean up help please

Before I did a system recovery and restarted my computer. I backed up only my music files. There was barely no room in the (D: ). When I did the system recovery, and restarted my computer, I went onto the Back up and Restore center and it said it didn't have anything to restore, I looked in (D: ) and nothing was in there.

Is there someway to clean my (D: ) up?

OK umm, I think I didn't put enough information.

I did a system recovery to its Original Factory condition (for some reason, don't ask :p) So then I can't do a system recovery undo, cause I don't have times for the recovery thingys. Anymore solutions/suggestions?

OK,

Start again comes to mind.

So, let me think! At this moment in time do nothing! The more you do/ have done, the less likely we are to recover anything. "D" drive especially.

What have you done since your last post to the disks?

@Lottiemansion The last time I did with the (D: ) was when I backed up my music files, that's it. It was the only time I used (D: ). (First time)

@richc46 The Link you gave me, only found System Volume Information files. Nothing close to what I backed up.

I also want to delete the files I backed up, but it doesn't look like Backup and Restore can find it.

Also, I backed up BEFORE I clicked on System Recovery to Original Factory condition. When I went to the System Recovery thing, it told me if I wanted to back up files, I thought to myself that I already did (I did backed up the files before doing system recovery), so I didn't click back up the files on the System Recovery thingy.

Ok,

Thank you.

Where did "D" come from? i.e Was it part of the original system or a new addition (Plug-in) from you?

Where did you back-up to on both occassions & which order you did them in?

All of this will enable us to establish an event time line for the system/ your actions & help us decide what we can do & the best way to achive it!

@Lottiemansion (D: ) was from the original system, came with it when I bought it. Went to Backup and Restore center to backup my files, it told me this was my first time (and it was) I chose to backup only my MUSIC files, I backed it up on my "Hard Drive (D: )" I went to Backup and Restore Center to backup BEFORE I went to system recovery.

Right,

If you have tried the above posts on recovering data.

How much is the lost information & software worth to you? Would you "Poor good money to get it" or could you get it again from a simple source?

This is NOW the driver for the next stage on getting your information back! There are various examples of software that claims they can & there are examples of software does.

Unfortuately the more reliable, but not always, the more it costs!

So where do you lie on this matter?

@Lottiemansion The information isn't THAT important to me. But I just lost 240 songs. The reason I want to recover the files is to DELETE the files to get room for my Hard Drive (D: ) for future use if there are important things I need to put in there or to be backed up in there. I don't NEED to find the files back, but I NEED space in the Hard Drive for important use later. I only have 737 MB left. :I
