Disabled monitor on XP and wont boot in safe mood!

Hi I have a Dell desktop and wasn't able to adjust the monitors resolution so stupidly deactivated the monitor and am now only able to see windows boot up screen and then it goes blank (Obviously as I have disabled it!!) I have tried starting it in safe mode and it just hangs on the safe mode boot up.....Any ideas?!?!?!

Cheers!!!

How long did you let it boot up for? Mine sits pretty long when safe mode boot.

You can try removing the card, and putting it back in. This sometimes works.

Ok will give that a go, it's hanging at mup.sys...when I boot in normal mode it's all ok, (i.e see the windows xp screen with the blue bar loading) but and then goes blank at the welcome screen. When you say remove card, which card are you referring to please?

Cheers for the help.

I mean open the case and pull out the video card, then pop it back in.

Dang you have a video card built into the board.... IF you can't boot into windows, safe or normal mode, I'm not too sure what to do... Can you get to the menu that gives you "Last good configuration"?

Sorry, I'm not big in the OS part of computers, someone might have a better idea.

Hi,

Borrow a video card or different monitor & install it, no drivers needed. Go from there, to re-activate the original graphics in hidden devices? & then remove the borrowed card/ monitor & bob is your etc.

How does that sound?
