Vista sidebar gadgets corrupted

Sorry about making you create a new topic. There are several good reasons for this:

  • It looks nice, and keeps everything together
  • It makes it a new topic for us, so more members will see and read about your issue, and you may get a better answer
  • Everyone who posted on the last topic gets an email about the new post, and if we go into a lot of posts, that = a lot of emails for some random guy, and that is not very fair!
Anyway:

You said that you ran SFC. Please give it one more run, and upload the log, as explained below, if necessary:

Right, please run steps 1, 2A, 3 (about 15 minutes), 4, 5, and then Step 1 from the top yellow box, but only follow this last one if Integrity Violations were found. Please upload the new sfcdetails.txt from your Desktop. System Files - SFC Command

Right, now please run the batch file attached to this post. It registers the same .dlls, but in a more controlled fashion. Please note any that fail to register, and the error message, as they should ALL register correctly.

Right, I ran the batch file and all installed OK, then I rebooted and....
sorry, it didn't work!

It's not a huge problem not to have the gadgets, but I don't like to be beaten by a bug!

btw - 'never any rush' - I like your style!
