When attempting to view certain attachments I get an error message stating: temporary internet files\low\content\.ie5, file me be in use by another application, the file format may not be supported by any of the installed converters, or the file may be corrupt. However, I can save the file and then open it.
What is causing this, and how can I fix?

Lets make sure that it is not being used.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
If you still get the same results try in safe mode

It is a Doc_auto file. Tried the reset. Still occurs

Could you please Run a Cleanup... Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup
If you haven't run it before Select your HDD And Select for all Users on this Computer
After that Clean up all the Files
