Complete PC Backup Failing

I have been trying to do a complete PC Backup, the first several times failed, I ended up running chkdsk /r on my external hard drive where my backups go to, it found 1 bad cluster which it fixed.

So after hours of waiting for chkdsk to scan my external hard drive, I rebooted and tried again, this time I got a different error message 0x80780034 and 0x80042316, the second error message I believe is now I have Acronis True Image 2011 installed.

The reason I got Acronis was because Vista wouldn't create a backup, as stated above I believe that was because my external hard drive had a bad cluster.

Why you may ask am I doing a Vista backup and an Acronis Backup, it is because just in case one fails.

My external hard drive is big enough for the backups, so space isn't, an issue, I just want Vista to do its bloody job and complete a successful backup.

Before I find a Solution for your Problem May I suggest you Format your HDD That has your Backups on and Install Sync Toy which is a Free Program that Syncs 2 Folders Both ways

Please see Download details: SyncToy 2.1 For More Information

You will need the x86 Version

Hope This Helps,
Josh
