Issues with Mouse

Hi

I have a weired issue with my system. I am running windows vista 64 Bit. I Have issues where the keyboard works with all usb ports on the system but the mouse will not. I have tried to use a new mouse as well and that did not help. Any suggestions.

First thing that I could think of is go to device manager
and look for the mouse driver
Look for any yellow warning markers
Look for a current driver at the website of the mouse mfg.

Install current driver
Does not work
Try a system restore back to a few days before the problem

Does not work
Make a full antivirus scan and download and make a full scan with malwarebytes, be sure to update first
Still does not work, try an SFC scan.

Did your mouse come with a USB-PS/2 adapter? If so, and you have a PS/2 mouse socket on your system, try using the mouse with the adapter to see what happens.
