Solved Driver Icon not refreshed

Hi to eveyone who reads this.

I have a minor problem when I just used a cd/dvd or a virtual disk.
After using one above mentioned I see that the the Icon of that driver doesn't get refreshed automatically. (see screenshot)
Even after hitting the F5 repeatedly, it doesn't seem to have any effect at all, and neither does closing/re-open the Explorer window.
I have to log off or start up again.

So I hope that someone on this forum can provide me with tips on how to cure this issue.

Thanks for the time you took, see ya.
Carlo

have you unmounted the image from ur virtual disc software? try refreshing again. if it still doesnt work, try an easy reinstall of the mounting software

Hi chaosrealm93

Sorry for the delayed reply, my email app blocked this forum and no I fixed it.

I've tried your suggestion but it didn't help.
Wright after I uninstalled/rebooted, I installed Daemon Tools again and there was no difference. (See screenshot 1 and 2.)

I think that the problem lies with Windows Explorer because I just tried an audio CD and after I took the CD out I refreshed/closed/opened Explorer again and I had the same problem as I did with an Image with Daemon Tools. (See screenshot 3.)

I also took a screenshot (4) from Configuration Screen --> Automatic Play in the assumption that this could be the culprit... (?)
Or do I have to take a deeper look and dive in the registry?
If yes, where and what settings do I have to tweak?

Please try to help me further, thanks buddy.

Best regards Carlo

Hi Lorien

Happy holidays.

I just implemented the rebuild icon trick, rebooted, but it didn't cure my problem.
Any other suggestions mate?

Seems that most of the traditional methods have been tried, so how about these
Try with a clean boot and see if problem persists
Make sure that you have all up to date graphic drivers
Try an sfc command.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If the problem is new try a system restore, it may be connected to registry.
If it were my computer, I would not try anything drastic with a relatively minor problem

Hi Lorien and Richard

Eureka, I found it.
It was a tiny setting in TuneUp Utilities that prevented the monitoring of my CD/DVD Drives. see screenshot.
I did the test and it helped.

Nevetheless thanks for the support!

Regards Carlo
