Hi,
I made a search and didn't find my answer.

I want to copy a webpage, or a part of it, something like this:
fqcc_recherche.PNG

How do I do that?
Thank you.

Hi mireille,

Welcome to Vista Forums!

Go to Start / All Programs / Accessories / Snipping Tool and double-click on it. It will open a small window. If not checked, click on new. Then using the mouse go to the upper left corner of the part you want to copy and hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the right and down until the area you want to copy is selected (if you want everything shown, start at the top left and scroll to the bottom right). Release the mouse and click outside the area and a window will open with the selection included. Click on file and then click save as. Select the location you want to save it. I recommend saving it as a .jpg file. Name it and save it to the selected location. You now have a copy of the area you wanted to copy for use as you see fit.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

P.S. I've added a shortcut for the Snipping Tool to my Quick Launch Toolbar in the taskbar as I use it so often. You may want to do the same or at least add a copy to the desktop for faster access.

P.P.S. If you're looking for freeware that does what is recommended in the article for entire pages (not just what you can see) in the prior post (but offers no free options that work fine with Vista), try the free: http://www.freepdfcreator.org/.

Hi mireille,

That's great news. It was our pleasure - we're glad we could help.

Thanks for the feedback - it is appreciated.

If you check the bottom of my earlier post, you'll find another free program that essentially does the same thing as the one whs recommended - either one should do the trick (in case you have trouble with one, try the other one - or try both and see which you prefer and uninstall the one you don't want to keep).

When you consider the issue resolved, don't forget to close out the thread by clicking the far right triangular icon at the top of your post and typing "solved" in the box and submitting it. The moderators will notice and put a green check next to the thread title. That way others seeking answers by searching the forums will know that this thread contains a solution to the issue identified in the title - and people seeking to help will not waste time checking out this thread since it has been resolved.

And welcome to Vista Forums! Now that you know where we are, bookmark the site and post anytime you have further questions or problems or if you just want to browse and learn (especially the Tutorial section offers some excellent advice on a wide variety of topics) or even if you want to try to help answer a question if you happen to see one where you know the answer and it hasn't already been posted. While it most likely won't be us the next time (though it might), there are many very skilled, experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly people here who, like us, volunteer their time to help others and one or maybe even several will respond to your post to assist you. While there are other forums on the web that do this sort of thing, you've now found what I think is the best (and I've posted in and/or checked out quite a few) so don't lose this link - you never know when it might come in handy again.

Good luck and best wishes.

Best wishes and I hope to see you again - but just to visit and browse, not with any type of problem.

Take care!
