I havea HP Pavilion Elite d5000t desktop computer, and i'm looking to replace my internal memory card reader because it doesn't read SDHC cards. I found several on amazon.com that fit in a 3.5 inch drive bay which is the size of the drive bay that my memory card reader is in right now. But I also found some that fit in a 5.25 inch drive bay.
What I want to know now is, is a 5.25 inch drive bay the size of a drive bay for a standard optical drive. I have 3 empty optical drive bays that are not being used right now, and am thinking about using one of those. I went on hp.com and pulled up my model type and it tells you just about everything about the model except what I want to know. (the size of the optical drive bay)!
Is a 5.25 inch drive bay the size of a standard optical drive bay?
