Can't Find Boot Device

I'm trying to install Vista on new machine and received a "Can't find boot device" error. I went into the bios and set the boot sequence to look at the CD-ROM first then the HD. I still receive the same error. I don't have the machine in front of me so I can't give specifics on bios version, memory and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

Welcome
To start, try with another bootable CD. The CD that you are using can be defective.

Are you dual booting?
