Solved Can't delete folder!!

Hi all,
I have a new prob now- after recovering some of my docs with "recuva" I had made a folder on the desktop to put my current files into while I did a recuva scan on my USB stick.
Now I have moved all of them back into the USB stick but 1 folder with 1 doc inside has remained on the desktop and will not delete saying that "it no longer exixts".
I have tried moving the folder to another location(which I can) but I cannot re-name it as it also says it cannot be done as it doesn't exist anymore.
Very frustrating.
Any tips please on how to delete this permanently?

Sometimes you need to close explorer. example, restart your computer if that fails try unlocker as rich46 posted.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Richc46...I used unlocker and it worked perfectly.
If anybody else reads this with similar probs then use unlocker.It told me that the file does not exist(which was the problem re deleting) but then asked what do I want to do anyway?.... with a delete option:D. Clicked on delete and OK and 1 second later the folder is gone:D Thanks again
