I have this 5 GB file, it is a .cab file, for a game, and It won't copy to my Thumb drive which is 8G. So I was annoyed at how the simple math some how does not work, and it won't copy to my empty external 250G HD either. But, it will copy to my second HD that is in my computer (Which only has 100G free space left). Anyone have any idea why in the world it would do this? The file that says it is 5G is somehow telling the device it is much larger?

Sounds like a permission problem, Right click the file you are trying to move and go to properties,security, check that you have full control of the file.

I do have full control. I am the only one on this computer and I have never had this problem before. I tried moving everything in the .cab file separately and it said one of the files is corrupt. Could this possibly be the reason it says it is too big?

It could be the problem. I honestly don't know, never had that problem myself.
Are all your drives NTFS or Fat32 or a mix of both.
