    my Laptop sleeps even when im using it

    please help me, my laptop sleeps even when i am using it. when everything stops and when i press the power button again, its saying windows resuming..so i think its just going to a sleep mode...but why? hope u could help me with this. thanks!

    For now start with this
    Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems

    and
    Make sure that you are not set to sleep too soon after no activity.

    sorry...i am sure.....my settings are correct...SLEEP MODE= DISABLED...is there any other option?

    Try going to event viewer and look for errors at the time the problem happened.

    Is your laptop battery up to par?

    Go to device manager and look for any drivers with a small yellow warning marker.

    Sounds like it might be hardware related.

    thank you so much for the quick help i saw something in the device manager...its my bluetooth peripheral....its under the "other device"....what should i do next? when im trying to check and update the driver it says nothing is available and when i did it again...my laptop sleeps again im using HP pavilion dv5...im downloading a driver now for my bluetooth...should i reinstall it or ill just disable it thanks!

    Also is the Battery Low?? Whenever (By Default) the Battery is low on a Laptop in Vista it will place your Computer into Hibernation similar to Sleep but Turns it off
