VDM files

In seach of unexplained 2 to 3 GB Free space loss, I stumbled on several folders containing VDM files that seem all related with MSC updates (previously MSE, MSN anti-virus) including one huge (45MB)folder titled Backup...all totalling 160 MB's. I don't know how long have these files been in my HD.

Anybody know what these are? Are they safely deletable?

If it is to do with any Security Software - Do not delete it!! Especially if it is an Update

Have you checked your System Restore? that may have taken up the 2-3GB of space for windows does Periodically a System Restore Point

Hope This Helps,
Josh

My system restore is as ususal...limited to three restore points, hence not the reason for the missing free space.

Also have you tried running any Temp File Cleaner? And How old is your Computer?

And please Run a Full Scan with your Anti-Virus to be clear of any Viruses or other Malware

Hope This Helps,
Josh
